Biography

Dr. Roberts takes a special interest in preventive healthcare, dermatology, and infectious disease.

After growing up on a farm in central Georgia, Dr. Roberts was fortunate enough to be the first person in his family to attend and graduate from college. This was interrupted by four years of proud service in the U.S. Navy. Following his military service, he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of West Florida. After two years of medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Roberts re-entered the Navy’s student doctor program. Upon graduation, Dr. Roberts was fortunate to be selected for an internship/residency at the Naval Hospital Oakland, California. This was a combined program with the University of California San Francisco, and provided many unique educational opportunities—the weather was nice, too.

After completion of his pediatric residency, Dr. Robert’s family were transferred to the Naval Hospital Subic Bay, Philippines. They had a small staff and no pediatric subspecialty support. Dr. Roberts rapidly became proficient in various conditions encountered in third world countries from treating cobra bites, to what do you do when your patient eats part of a cooked rabid dog? His patient load was 60-65 per day. Therefore, time management and the ability to sort not-so-sick from sick was essential.

Upon separation from the military in 1984, Dr. Roberts and his family moved to Peachtree City, Georgia. He entered into solo practice, becoming the first full-time pediatrician in the city. The practice grew rapidly, and over the past 31 years he has enjoyed the company of many dear partners and associates, been blessed to be involved in many church, service, charitable and social organizations. Dr. Robert’s feels honored to be the pediatrician for many precious children.
